Josephine Itana's Story
NAME: Josephine Itana
COUNTRY: Papua New Guinea
AGE: 52 years old
DIAGNOSIS: Renal Failure, Diabetes Mellitus
CONDITION BEFORE TREATMENT
Mrs. Itana lives with diabetes over 15 years. She was fine before found out her kidneys were involved resulting from years’ Diabetes. “My doctor told me I need dialysis to sustain my life. But there are only two hospitals in my country that could perform dialysis.” No positive treatment available in Papua New Guinea for her other than dialysis. “Dialysis is the last thing I want.” said Josephine.
To make things worse, Mrs. Itana was soon losing her vision gradually. The blurred vision and other symptoms coming with the horrifying Renal Failure, Josephine couldn’t take care of herself. “I am the one who took care of everybody, and now? I can’t live without others!” Mrs. Itana felt depressed and irritable since her illness condition deteriorated progressively.
“It was stem cells which bring me here, to this hospital.” the lady accompanied by her husband and mum, went to Peking Tung Shin Tang Chinese Medical Hospital all the way on March 2012.
START OF TREATMENT: March 09, 2012
TREATMENT FROM Tung Shin Tang KIDNEY DISEASE HOSPITAL
Stem Cell Therapy: two cycles of stem cells--umbilical cord stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells each
Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, 3 time/day, 45 min/time
CONDITION AFTER TREATMENT
Mrs. Itana received extensive therapy in her country and got poor results. She lost weight from 60 to 55kg, and experienced serious shortness of breath, dizziness induced by high blood sugar. She totally lost her appetite and became sullen all day long.
“Although I came here for stem cells, and then I found that the traditional Chinese medicine is a total bonus!” The lady took Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy before receiving stem cells. “I felt a little weird at the very beginning. I can’t even stand the smell.” “But things changed after one-week treatment, Josephine seemed like falling in love this smell. She couldn’t wait to receive this Chinese treatment and prepared early for this everyday!” Josephine’s husband told us.
“The patient became more energetic and happier. She sat in lobby and chatted with other patients about her country, her son, her life before and the places she plan to visit, very talkative.” Josephine’s attending doctor, Dr. Yang told us.
“I feel like 16, and was still a teenager girl. Thanks to your fabulous treatments!” said Mrs. Itana as she was leaving.
